The software does not start

Most of the time the software does not start because the launch file is not associated with the right program, or because the Java runtime was not installed correctly.

Windows — associate IQUALIF with Java

Typical symptom: nothing happens on double-click, or Windows offers to open the file with another program (ExpressZip, WinRAR, 7-Zip).

1. Right-click the IQUALIF shortcut on the desktop.
2. Click Open with → Choose another app.
3. Select Java Liberica (it may also appear as "Liberica Platform binary"). This is the Java version installed with IQUALIF — do not pick another Java version if several are offered.
4. Tick Always use this app to open .jar files, click OK, then double-click the shortcut.

Downloading ExpressZip is not a security problem: it is simply the program Windows associated with .jar files.

macOS — launch the program directly

Finder → Go → Home → Application Data → IQUALIF → double-click l.jar.

macOS — install the right Java version

IQUALIF runs on Liberica JDK 21. Install it from bell-sw.com, then open a Terminal, type open /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/, check that liberica-jdk-21.jdk is present and remove the other Java versions.

Clean reinstall

Uninstall IQUALIF, delete the remaining IQUALIF folder (%APPDATA% on Windows, Home → Application Data on macOS), then download the latest version and reinstall.
