Everything is set in the bar at the top of the window, in four steps.
The 4 steps
- 1. Select a country
- 2. What are you looking for? — Business (B2B) or Residential (B2C), and their Fast variants where available.
- 3. Search profile — leave as default in most cases. Change it here if the results are not what you expect, or if the download does not start.
- 4. How would you like to search? — the search mode, described below.
The 5 search modes
By List — bulk search
The most efficient way to cover a whole area in a few clicks. Select a department or province, then a city, then one or more streets (residential) or categories (business), and click Start.
By Category
Start from the activity you are targeting, then narrow down the geographic area.
By Postcode
Enter or select the postcodes to cover directly. Simplest when you work from a precise postcode list.
By Manual Entry
Type the criteria freely (city, street, category). This mode also offers a Semi-Auto helper: pick items in the list above, then type a location. It is also where you can import a CSV file of criteria instead of typing them one by one.
In Browser — targeted search
The software displays the website directly. Type your query in the site's own search bar, and once results are shown click the import button to pull them into IQUALIF.
Adding or starting fresh
On each new search the software asks "Add to the last search?": answer Yes to accumulate results, No to start from a clean file.
Following progress
The bottom bar shows Pages remaining, Next pages remaining and Detail pages remaining (enabled by the "Detailed search" option). You can Pause and resume later; at 100%, export your results.
Enriching an existing file
File import re-runs searches from your criteria. It does not complete an existing file line by line from a company number or a name: IQUALIF is not a database enrichment tool. For that, talk to an adviser.
